Yes, as long as they meet required weight limit of 84,000 LBS, which includes the tare weight of the container, chassis, and tractor. This can be done with a weight tolerance permit.

For 20ft containers it may vary between 4800-5000 LBS; the 40ft ST up to 8,000 LBS and 40ft HC up to 8,775 LBS.
